Resurrection I
Meaning of Life and Death
The word “resurrection” is one that conjures up images of opened tombs and emerging bodies in various states of decomposition. However, in this first tutorial on the subject, we discover there is more to the story. When Jesus said, “Let the dead bury the dead,” he revealed two types of life and death. Thus, in order to understand the phenomenon of coming from death into life, it would behoove us to know from which death we are to depart and into which life we are to arrive. Play video

Resurrection II
Resurrection of the Spirit vs. the Miracle of Corporeal Resuscitation
Lazarus was “raised from the dead.” His flesh body was revived and he emerged from his tomb. Elijah, too, brought back to life the young son of a widowed woman. Is this the operation of Jesus’ promise that we would “pass from death to life?” This tutorial makes a clear distinction between the two. One is a miracle, the other, a providence of God. As Paul instructs in I Corinthians 15:44, “it is raised a spiritual body.” Thus when the stone was rolled away from the entrance of Jesus’ tomb and he rose, was it his flesh or his glorified spiritual form that “appeared” to the disciples and finally, to Paul? Resurrection III
Principles of Resurrection
This tutorial explains resurrection as a process, and not just a phenomenon. As a process, key principles are involved in its operation. Understanding these key principles are essential in understanding how the providence of resurrection has manifested over the course of time. Even more important, these principles are essential in understanding our own course from death to life. Play video
Resurrection IV
Resurrection of those who have Passed On
In understanding the structure and function of our life in the physical world, we can understand that it is in this status of being that one can grow and mature both physically and, more importantly, spiritually. Our spirit grows via its interaction with a body of flesh. Thus we have a finite time to accomplish the development of the spiritual faculties needed for an abundant life in the coming world of spirit. Not all people achieve the goal in time, thus God has devised a way for them to be perfected “together with us.” This tutorial explains the mysterious cooperation that exists between the departed saints and those who dwell in the physical realm.
